This is one my most popular cake ball. It is made with chocolate cake, chocolate icing and milk chocolate coating.

It is definitely a fan favorite!

Here's what they look like before I put sprinkles on them.

mmmm. And here is what they look like in the center.

You can order some for $1.50 each. Minimum purchase is 3 dozen. Email me at longhornamy@gmail.com if you are interested in placing an order.

French Vanilla with Chocolate and Red Velvet with White Chocolate

I made 2 different kinds of cake balls to take to a 4th of July celebration we went to on Saturday. The first was french vanilla cake with buttercream frosting and a chocolate coating on the outside. Here's how that one looks:

MMMM. EVEN MATT LIKED IT, which says a lot because Matt is not a fan of sweets in the least. I saw that he ate several of them and that is one of the best compliments I could have gotten.

Next I moved on to red velvet because I thought that would be festive for the occasion. They are made with red velvet cake and cream cheese icing.
Fun fact: Red Velvet cake balls turns your hands read when you roll them.
Then I dipped them in white chocolate. My neighbor texted me after I dropped off a container of various cake balls. She said that the red velvet ones "don't suck" which is the highest compliment from Marisa!

oh Boy...Here we go

After enough people tell you that you have missed your calling by not making cake balls all day every day, you start to wonder...

I am starting slow by making cake balls for friend's parties and see where it goes from there. I absolutely love baking and feeding people great sweets is my favorite way to show love, so this might just fill in some spaces in my life that needed extra energy.

I am starting today by making red velvet cake balls for a 4th of July celebration we are going to tomorrow. Pictures to follow later.
